Anyone into slings and their usage? These seem like an excellent "back up" or "daily carry" type weapon/tool. Very simple and can be carried as a "bracelet", in a pocket, or in one of the nice holders that they often ship in...been looking at these ones and the youtube videos they have...https://panslings.com/

What are you using style length etc, did you make yours? I have 3 Panslings. I’ve been practicing every other day. Eggs throw the best, golf balls are good too…here’s a book I got for braiding your own. It came with a braiding card.

Imagine it would be a great way to carry a weapon onto a plane with nobody really knowing what you’re wearing or have on you. You could always just say it’s a friendship bracelet. Now, mind you, I’m not saying to hijack the airplane. God forbid. If anything, though, if you are traveling out of town and need to carry something with you, a sling seems like a pretty good defensive weapon that could also be used for hunting and you’re pretty much gonna find Ammo for it all over the place in the form of Rocks.

I like this idea.
Any weapon you use for self defense is ideally a weapon that requires significant practice and skill to operate effectively.

A ton of people die in altercations because the aggressor takes the weapon from the defender and uses it against them. Good luck doing that with a sling and actually using it effectively.

I don't own nunchucks, but that is another good defensive weapon. An untrained operator will most likely knock themselves out attempting to use them.
