A magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck the Flores region of eastern Indonesia, near Nagekeo in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), at about 04:58 WIB. Indonesia's BMKG issued tsunami warnings for several coastal areas, including northern portions of Manggarai, Ngada, West Manggarai, Ende and Sikka, as well as Selayar in South Sulawesi.
The tsunami warning has been canceled.
