I wish bamboo would grow here. I had planted 20 varieties at my farm in NC much to my parents chagrin. It does grow in the mountains of china where pandas eat it in the snow…there are so many countless uses for bamboo. Maybe after the flip?

I made fences for my Japanese garden. the Kanji on the gate say Learning Garden . Trying to find the original pix. I wrapped the gates in copper sheets I hand hammered. Art comes in many forms..

I love bamboo! And I was curious, so I had to google it... but Yes, bamboo can grow in Colorado; several cold-hardy species tolerate freezing winters, especially clumping types like Fargesia and running types such as Phyllostachys that can handle temperatures down to -20°F when properly sited and contained. So that's definitely worth looking into. I asked about Colorado since that's where I'm at. But those same types grow in Idaho and Utah. :D
