More breadcrumbs that may help direct families towards our line of thought. Coming from Gaia/Msm, our skeptical audience might find more believable. The other hurdle is convincing them that we’re on the threshold of a new dawn in the many ages of earth. That the catastrophe is at our doorstep.
 
I often think about the possibility of a technologically advanced civilization in earth's ancient past that rivaled or even exceeded our current one.

There is one thing that has me thinking such a civilization did not exist. Mineral resources.

Human activity is dilutive in respect that they mine out concentrated mineral deposits (like copper), make things with the metal, and those things get spread all over the place.

If there was an advanced previous civilization, then there should be signs of mineral deposit depletion and distribution in a way that makes recovering those things difficult. Think of copper again. Old wires and things turned back into copper oxides near the surface but in low concentration deposits that form odd line like structures over hundreds of miles.

Good point. I'm still unsure that it can be completely ruled out on that basis alone though. I think about how much gets destroyed, buried, re-distributed by the disaster and find it hard to believe that much of anything man-made survives. Plus, just because our civilization runs on wires, it doesn't mean that all advanced civilizations have to do the same.

I don't think any of us have all the answers. I don't think I'm right and you're wrong or vice versa. It is clear that there were civilizations before the Noah Event that were completely destroyed. I don't know how advanced they were, but they were obviously capable of great works of engineering and architecture, and they had to have advanced mathematics to have built these. There's no time to study mathematics if you're spending all of your time just trying to feed yourself and your family like the "primitive" hunter-gatherers we are supposed to have descended from.

Looks like I'm going to be spending a good chunk of my day thinking about human deposition of mineral deposits! :unsure:

Yeah I see your point. All civilizations need to extract minerals for construction and technology.
However there is a big assumption that mineral deposits are non-renewable and static. And that is not necessarily the case.
 
The Nepal event is a perfect example. Look at how quickly all those man-made structures were pulverized

We live largely on the top 0.1% of the surface of the planet. A crustal rotation event would do 10x+ that level of damage to nearly the entire surface of the planet, and likely to more than just the top 0.1%. Then, thousands of years of corrosion & erosion, 4000+ years until technology comes back and people excavate and study & record (instead of just hoarding what they find) and it's no surprise that everything looks random.

We would only know to look for patterns if we expected them, and only few likely even considered the possibility that these veins of ore that we find now have any association with a past society from before a prior catastrophe, that would have been crazy talk.
