Chickens are Deadly

Chickens, ducks, geese, and guinea fowl are noisy creatures. After the kill shot, a rooster crow will tell everyone within a mile that you have food. And they will be coming over for dinner.

Although they are great on your farm / homestead right now, I recommend you have a plan in place for continuity of food when you have to cull your flock.

Rabbits and quail are a combination that comes to mind. They are quiet, and you can run them in parallel with your laying hens. The hens are now a luxury, rather than an essential component in your system.

As part of OPSEC, Roosters and Guinne hens suck. I'm not sure how much can be hidden. Garden and farm animals are an issue.
Do I go full thermal blackout or minimal camouflage ? Hmmm.
