Knowing all of your regional power plants and substations before a catastrophe may prove wise in seeking a retreat location. Some may prove more resilient to grid down scenarios. A hydroelectric power plant may or may not be effected by extensive grid failure and or, it may come back online before coal fired, wind or other power plants. Especially in regards to support and supply after an event.
