I've installed a new addon (which I had slightly modified to allow adding the date into the title) that will automatically create a new thread every day at 6am CDT (11am UTC) in the Daily Updates, News & Alerts subforum as a placeholder for a daily summary of events.

I encourage everyone to chime in and comment on these daily threads!
